Retrieva

RetrievaRetrieva is the must have gadget for any dog who sometimes likes to go for a wander of the beaten track and likes to hide…it is also the perfect tool for any dog owner who is worried that their dog may go missing or get lost. The Retrieva isn’t the cheapest GPS tracker, but it is specially made to track pet dogs and it has a really high build quality. It costs £250 for the Retrieva unit and another £10 a month to be able to track your dog.

The £10/month subscription includes a SIM card which will send 150 location texts per month. If you have more than one dog it drop to £7.99 and if you have more than 2 dogs it is just £6.99/month per tracker. Even for one dog it isn’t that expensive when you would have to pay for a mobile SIM card with other trackers to be able to monitor your pet.

Unlike many Dog GPS trackers on the market, the Retrieva only needs to be charged once a week for best results, but it can work for up to a month between recharges. Along with being able to track your dog when you’re out (say when your dog runs off and you can’t call him/her back), the Retrieva has a Geofences tracking mode. This is where you can set it up so that you have virtual fences around where your dog is allowed to go and if your dog decides to leave home and go for a walk by themselves (probably not the best idea!) you will be notified. The Retrieva also has a panic button, so if anything was to happen to you when walking your dog you can summon help!

The Retrieva dog collar has an anti-theft device, so anyone tries to remove the collar without the key you will be sent a text message with your dog’s location. Along with all this, the Retrieva is ergonomically designed with Dogs in mind and it only weights 160g.
